I am in awe of nature...and, filled with enormous compassion for all life. A commission for a portrait of one of your loved ones is always a very spiritual journey for me. When I study the photographs, do the rough sketch on paper, start laying the foundation on stone...it is merely the beginning...of a friendship. I connect with each and every one I paint...stroke by stroke. Every tiny fur line, the special twist of the mouth, the curve of an ear, the glint of an eye...leave a deep pawprint in my heart, also!
